Tea & coffee reduces asthmatic breathing
Many people know that tea and
coffee contain a substance called caffeine. This caffeine is a type of xanthine
compound (Xanthine Derivative). Two other compounds of this xanthine are
theophylline and theobromine. Tea contains theophylline and coffee contains
theobromine. Caffeine goes into our body and slightly stimulates the adrenal
glands that sit on top of the kidneys. They are very quickly excites the
cerebral cortex of the central nervous system. As a result, drinking tea and
coffee makes the body feel a little stronger, and laziness is removed. This
caffeine also slightly stimulates the heart, increasing the contraction and
expansion of the heart. Caffeine, theophylline, and theobromine act on all three
kidneys, increasing the amount of urine. Each of them relaxes the involuntary
muscles of our body. Theophylline and theobromine have effects on the airways
and ducts of the lungs. They dilate these ducts and help free air movement in
the lungs. For this reason, tea, and coffee can help a little to reduce the
narrowing of airways in asthma patients. Drinking tea or coffee temporarily
reduces the breathing problems of asthma.
