If you're
sensitive to changes within your EMF (Electromotive force), you can extract all
kinds of information from the universe without using your physical senses. This
is usually called extrasensory perception, or ESP.
In biology, the ability to detect EMF is
called magnetoception and is not usually observed in mammals, although some
bird species use magnetoception to determine their direction, location and
altitude from Earth's magnetic field.
It is
thought that the pineal gland, located right in the centre of the human brain,
may be magnetosensitive. Some people believe that the pineal gland is the
“third eye”, the organ associated with ESP, and that it provides a connection
between the physical and spiritual realms.
The
philosopher René Descartes called the pineal gland “the seat of the soul” –
perhaps it is this part of the brain that enables the body and soul to communicate.
